Great audio, great visuals with handwriting and annotation, all from Professor Mart Doyle’s TUCAPTURE MOBILE TABLETPC! But the groundbreaking improvement is that we have successfully AUTOSCHEDULED the start/stop/delivery of TUCAPTURE on Professor Doyle’s tabletpc.
What benefits does this provide?
1) TASK ELIMINATION: Before, Professor Doyle had extensive hand-tasks to open APRESO CLASSROOM INSTRUCTORWEB browser, then copypaste standard COURSE IDs, COURSE NAMES, SECTION NUMBER, CMS ID, and other fields. Then, Professor Doyle had to START each capture by hand, calculate the TIME DURATION of each capture, and then click STOP by hand. This added to all the tasks of carrying in a tabletpc, setting it up, hooking up a wireless mic, etc. With AUTOSCHEDULING, dozens of tasks to start/stop/manage/deliver TUCAPTURE MOBILE presentations have been eliminated.
2) INVENTORY CONTROL: Copypasting complex metadata, by hand, into APRESO CLASSROOM INSTRUCTORWEB resulted in common errors, mistakes, and other issues that made TUCAPTURE search/sort/RSS feed inventory management harder. With AUTOSCHEDULING, all such metadata are programmed once a semester, and each capture is automatically stamped with such metadata, allowing easy sort/search/RSS feed, and more.
3) FEATURE PARITY: Importantly, presenters who choose TUCAPTURE MOBILE laptops/tablets to record scheduled meetings can now have the same task-freedom, fit, and finish as those working in classroom-based TUCAPTURE. Task elimination and inventory assurance mean that professors like Mart Doyle can focus on his classroom audience, not tool tasks. This improves each and every class meeting, and makes reoccurring review of every TUCAPTURE easier.
AUTOSCHEDULING on TUCAPTURE MOBILE devices will continue to be torture tested each week in Mart Doyle’s SPEAKMAN 27 classes, and others where he takes capture systems. We predict that AUTOSCHEDULING of TUCAPTURE MOBILE laptops, tabletcs, studios, etc will become a standard operating procedure.
