The ASEAN Foundation (AF) is an inter-governmental, non-profit organisation established by the ten ASEAN Member Countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam) with the mandates to promote greater awareness of ASEAN among the general public, and help address poverty and socio-economic disparity issues in the region. It now invites applications from nationals of ASEAN Member Countries residing in Indonesia for the following career position.

FINANCE OFFICER

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general guidance and the supervision of the Finance, Administration and Personnel Coordinator (FAP Coordinator), the Finance Officer will perform the following:

DUTIES:

  • Maintain project financial records and files,
  • Assisting project staff in reviewing the proposed budget from proponent based on allowable cost and standard of ASEAN Foundation (AF) project approval process,
  • Check all project financial reports, verify the accuracy of calculations and the completeness of supporting documents, initiate correspondence to verify data, and respond to queries,
  • In coordination with the project staff, could initiate correspondences and/or discussion to the executing agency or proponent related to the finance and budget issues,
  • To review and monitor disbursement schedule and report status of the funding activities, also reconciled to the AF project database
  • To assist the FAP Coordinator and ED in generating the financial report to the donors,
  • To assist the FAP Coordinator in maintaining asset and inventory management,
  • To represent the Foundation in banking matters and handling the petty cash,
  • Maintain and foster conducive working environment and high spirit of staff members for stronger team-work, team-building and improved productivity within the organisation,
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant education background, preferably at university level,
  • Three years of relevant financial or accounting work experience, preferably in funding and financial sector,
  • Computer literacy especially in word-processing, spreadsheet and knowledge in accounting,
  • Good interpersonal skill and ability to work with minimum supervision,
  • Knowledge of ASEAN matters and project management would be an advantage.

Conditions:

  • Selected candidates shall be offered the posts with probationary period of three months. Upon completion of the probationary period, each candidate will be given a three-year contract, inclusive of the three-month probationary period.

Remuneration:

  • Starting basic salary: Rp. 5 to 6 million per month, depending on qualifications and previous experiences. Other benefits include transportation and medical allowances.
